 The Co-operative Bank is transforming its business and a major component in that journey is the replacement of its core banking system. The purpose of this role is to lead the analysis of the new core’s capabilities and compare them with the Bank’s future product and process landscape and identify changes from our current processes and downstream systems (24 month fixed-term role).

About the role: 

Conduct the analysis of our existing and future product set and associated business processes to ensure we can align these to our new core banking platform. Working with the Product, Customer and Technology Teams you will lead the gap assessments and identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities for product enhancements, while also insuring we can use the core banking platform without customisation.

You will support the development of transition strategies to ensure minimal disruption to banking operations and customer experience. 

The ability to bridge business, technical and data knowledge is a critical aspect to this role, as is an enthusiasm for understanding new and different business processes and technologies. 

This is a full-time 24 month fixed-term position based in our central Wellington office.

You will bring: 

  • 5 –7 years' experience as a Technical Business Analyst in banking or financial services
  • Experience in gap analysis, requirements gathering, and business process reengineering
  • Leadership of teams or initiatives 
  • Experience dealing with stakeholders
