What this role is all about

You’ll step into a pivotal leadership role, taking the reins from the current Programme Lead who has laid strong foundations through a three-year core simplification programme. You'll lead a multi-year, enterprise-wide core replacement programme that will modernise our core technology and customer experience – driving strategy through to delivery and benefit realisation. You’ll connect the dots across teams and workstreams, keep momentum high, and outcomes sharp. With a lean governance approach and a customer-first mindset, you’ll empower delivery teams while bringing clarity, energy, and purpose to every step of the journey.

What you’ll bring

  • Deep experience leading large-scale transformation or re-platforming programmes
  • Confidence managing multiple concurrent workstreams and integrating across functions. 
  • Strength in stakeholder engagement, and experiences in managing relationships at all levels. 
  • A knack for right-sizing governance, processes, and reporting to suit the organisation
  • A collaborative leadership style that builds trust and empowers teams
  • The ability to constructively challenge assumptions, backed by data and insight
  • High energy, resilience, and presence—bringing clarity and momentum to complex delivery
  • Experience with customer-centric transaction systems (e.g. payments, billing, product contracts)
  • Banking experience is a bonus, but not essential
